Sweet Memories Candy Shoppe opened its door in the spring of 1991. Located across the street from its current location, you could find 8 kinds of salt water taffy, 6 kinds of Jelly Belly Beans®, about 10 kinds of chocolates and a handful of miscellaneous candies. You could only find sweet treats there in the summer.
The store moved to its current location in the fall of 1993 and the amount of candy available and the space to house the candy grew and grew to its current size.
Now there are 60 flavors of salt water taffy, over 50 flavors of Jelly Belly Beans®, 36 flavors of homemade fudge, 20 gourmet ice cream choices, 2 candy cases full of chocolates, and a big room with candy favorites for kids of all ages.
